According to WeliveSercurity.com, a new wave of scams has popped up on Facebook. Crooks are luring users to visit fake Ray-Ban shops online to buy heavily discounted sunglasses there for the brands "80th Anniversary Sale."
The spam ads are spread via hacked Facebook accounts that attackers have taken control of using social engineering tactics without the owner’s consent. They post pictures promoting fake Ray-Ban sunglasses with discounts as high as 90%.
