As a Katy resident, I watched something new pop up at I-10 & 99.
I drove by it every day and had no idea what it was.
I found out it was a cool putt-putt complex called PopStroke!
I call it a complex because it has so much more than just putt-putt.
PopStroke has two 18-hole putt-putt courses, several bars, a restaurant, a kids play area, ice cream and a whole bunch of games.
Before you visit, you should download the app and create a profile.
You can do almost everything in the app such as buy passes, order food & drinks and keep score.
Now, let's get to the golf...
Tiger Woods and his team designed the courses and they're fun to play.
I played both, red and black courses, and didn't find them difficult or frustrating.
There's no windmills or trick-shots on these putt-putt courses, but there are bunkers, hills and rough.
This is a place for the entire family.
And no, you don't need any golf experience to play.
I saw plenty of kids and grown-ups enjoying themselves.
Another cool thing about PopStroke is that it isn't timed.
You can eat, drink, watch TV and golf at your leisure.
There's plenty of other fun to be had including foosball, table tennis and cornhole.
That big blue screen in the picture above will show current course leaders and other sports games.
While I was there, they were showing Thursday Night Football.
The dining areas are very clean and orderly.
Remember the app, I told you to download?
You can use it to see the menu and order your food.
I had the BBQ chicken sandwich and it was really tasty.
This is a multi-level complex, so make sure you head upstairs for a wonderful view of the courses while you dine.
I finished off my meal with some ice cream.
There was more than twenty flavors to choose from and you can get it in a cone, bowl or a shake.
I chose mint chocolate chip.
After that, it was back to putt-putt!
Overall, I had a blast and I can't wait to go back.
This is a great addition to family entertainment in the Houston area.
