Saturday is National Adopt A Shelter Pet Day and many area animal shelter will be participating either reducing adoption fees and maybe even eliminating them! I have adopted so many dogs and cats and they turn out to be some of the sweetest gentlest, beings I have ever met.
One time my adopted ranch dog saved my husband's skin by running a coyote off the property. Husband had no idea coyote was a few feet away when out of no where the mighty Duke, barking up a storm and running full speed, chased it off. All animals are amazing and if you are looking for a dog or cat companion...even birds, horses, lizards check with your local shelter first! You can find them this weekend!
