Jay's Weekend In Five Pictures 10/22-10/24

After the Astros advanced to the World Series, I let out a sigh of relief and just relaxed all weekend.

Julie had other plans though.

As you may know, my wife has developed a green thumb.

She took me to Fall Fling at Fred Reyes Greenhouses in Simonton.

It was our first time visiting and it was really cool!

They had everything that Julie wanted.

She bought some plumeria trees, aloe vera and a bunch of colorful flowers.

I spent a good twenty minutes browsing the pumpkin patch.

The Fall Fling also included local vendors and chefs!

There were several food booths and food trucks on hand.

I was in a BBQ mood, so I went to the Jazz E Catering booth and got a brisket sandwich.

I don't normally take pics of my food, but I wanted you to see this.

That brisket was incredible!

It was so tasty with a hint of smoke.

The BBQ sauce is homemade and tasted great.

I met Eric Johnson, the owner of Jazz E Catering, and he said he's working with HEB to get the sauce in stores.

I hope it happens, because it's really good.

Saturday night was Homecoming for my daughter!

I have a bunch of pics, but I'm only going to share that one.

Sophia & her friends looked fantastic and they had a blast!

It must have been quite a night because my daughter didn't wake up until 2:00 Sunday afternoon.

Julie and I wrapped up our weekend by completing another puzzle.

That's a 750-piece puzzle from Ceaco featuring Tiana and Naveen.

We like these Thomas Kinkade editions a lot.

FUN FACT: I've never seen The Princess and the Frog movie.

Alright, that's all for now.

Thanks for reading!
