Red Sox Fans Think The Astros Are Cheating Using Whistles

It doesn't matter how naturally good the Astros are, it seems they'll always be accused of something.

The latest conspiracy is that they are using whistles to identify pitches.

Here's an example.

In that video, they say a whistle can be heard just before Alvarez hits a homer in game 5.

Red Sox fans really embraced this and went searching for other examples.

They found another whistle during this Altuve at-bat in game 4.

Another homer.

It was at this point that the whistling theory started to spread to Astros haters everywhere.

This isn't the first time the Astros have been accused of whistle-cheating.

Back in the 2019 ALCS, the Yankees said the Astros were using whistles.

You can read more about that HERE.

The Astros went on to win that series against the Yankees.

One fan took a closer look at those whistle accusations and made this video.

Listen to the "fastball whistle" at the 2:05 mark.

Some fans say that whistle sounds similar to the whistle heard before the Altuve homer posted above.

Before I tell you what I think, let's not forget other teams in glass houses have been caught throwing stones.

Personally, I don't buy it.

Fans whistle at ball games. It's what they do.

I think these pitches come in way too fast for a coordinated whistle to work.

The Astros are just way too good and everyone hates them for it.

With that said, I'm also a totally biased all-in Astros fan and I hope they smoke their competition for years to come.

GO ASTROS!
