Old Navy Responds To 7-Year-Old Who Wants Girls Jeans With Real Pockets

According to ABC 13, an Arkansas first-grader is using her newly learned persuasive writing skills to get herself some real pockets to put her hands in.

7-year-old Kamryn Gardner's class recently learned how to write persuasive letters. She wrote hers to Old Navy to ask the clothing retailer to start making girls' jeans with real front pockets.

In her letter Kamryn wrote:

"I do not like that the front pockets of the girls jeans are fake. I want front pockets because I want to put my hands in them. I also would like to put things in them. Would you consider making girls jeans with front pockets that are not fake. Thank you for reading my request."

And she got the following response in a letter from Old Navy:

"Thank you so much for taking the time to write us about pockets on girl's jeans," the retailer wrote. "The Old Navy kids product team appreciate your information. It's great feedback for us as we develop new product."

In addition to the letter, Old Navy also sent Kamryn four pairs of jeans and shorts with real pockets.
