Dolly Parton To Read Bedtime Stories For Kids In 'GoodNight With Dolly'

Dolly Parton is kicking off a new bedtime video series for kids and parents this Thursday night on her Imagination Library YouTube account. "GoodNight with Dolly" will feature the country music legend reading a series of books carefully chosen for their appropriate content at this moment in time. She'll be there every Thursday night at 8PM CT, ready to help put the kiddos to bed.

Parton launched Imagination Library, in 1995. The organization mails free, high-quality books to children from birth until they begin school, no matter their family’s income. She created the children's book gifting program as a tribute to her father, who never learned to read. It started as children's literacy effort specific to the Tennessee community where Dolly grew up, but expanded statewide and then nationwide. The program now reaches Canada, Australia, the UK, and Ireland, and has distributed more than one hundred million books to children.
