All of the scandals that the Obama Administration has had to deal with are having an impact on how you feel about the President. His approval ratings have been going down. And a new poll paints an even less flattering picture.
The Quinnipiac University poll says that one-third of you feel he's the worst President since World War II. Not only that, but nearly half of you thinks the country would have been better off if Mitt Romney had won the election in 2012. Brandon Rottinghaus at the University of Houston says it all comes down to expectations the President has not lived up to.
“There’s a difference from where voters thought the President would take the country and where he actually has taken the country,” Rottinghaus told KTRH News. “If you compare what he’s done with the rhetoric that the Obama campaign engendered you can see where the deflation is.”
And the left may be starting to sour on the President, too. Only 74 percent of Democrats now say he was the better choice. So what does this mean for Democrats in the midterm elections?
“If they can’t get the base excited about the President then the party simply can’t succeed,” Rottinghaus stated.
One more note from the poll; the best President since World War II? You said it was Ronald Reagan.
